Some people wonder how we came to name Darby. Well...it took a while...and with a little help from our friend Bob we came up with:
Darby - Irish - Name meaning liberty. This canine is always trying to escape.
This name is significant for three reasons. First, Darby was born on July 4th, and her name is Irish for liberty. Second, if you know the nature of beagles they are constantly trying to escape and gain their freedom. Third, beagles originate from Great Britain, and we though a name of British/Irish descent was fitting. So Darby it is!
